Other: This is the oldest condo building in downtown. Originally built and operated as a hotel from 1927 through the 1970's. It sat vacant for many years than reopened as apartments and finally converting to condos in 2004. This building has one of the grandest lobbies in town. Even the individual units have a lot of the original finishes, such as recessed crown molding and window frames. Because the window technology is not up to date the view through the glass is often wavy and slightly distorted to the point you really don't want to look out for very long. The pool is very small and shaped like a whale so don?t plan to swim any laps. The one-bedroom units do not have laundry inside the unit. The two bedrooms do have laundry inside the unit. There is a laundry room on each floor with one washer and one dryer to be shared by all the one-bedroom unit owners. The building does not have freight elevators and the existing elevators are small so don't plan on moving in oversized furniture.

Like the most:
Living in a beautiful historic downtown landmark building.
Like the least:
HOA and all the legal challanges facing the building and proposed construction adjacent to the building. Special assessments in the past and fear of more in the future.
Other comments:
Currently hold the distinction of the lowest rated building in downtown, based on surveys I have mailed out.
