Top 10 San Diego Condos as of July 2026Top 10 San Diego Condos

My list of the Top 10 San Diego Condos based on my 25 years of experience living in and selling downtown.

If you have ever wondered what are the top 10 condo buildings in San Diego.... I have selected the best ten condos in San Diego and here you will learn a lot about them as well as see what is currently listed for sale. I have lived in downtown San Diego for 26 years and have been selling condos with RE/MAX for 24 years, through my experience and the feedback from my clients I have complied this list of the top 10 condos in San Diego. These are the best of the best, suited for the luxury buyer, entry level prices will start around $500,000 and go up to about $5,000,000.

One day there will be some new high rise condos that will make the top 10 list and bump some building off.  But for now there are no luxury high rises under construction that will replace any of these current buildings.  Perhaps we will have one ready for occupancy by 2030... maybe.

Resale inventory in downtown is up to 370 units (out of 10,850) for sale as of July 2026.

The top 10 condo buildings have a combined 2,045 individual condo units, presently there are 49 units on the market.

There are two huge new construction projects that will dramatically increase the demand for housing in downtown over the next few years as combined they should add over 5,000 jobs in downtown. They are called the "Campus at Horton" project and the Bio Tech (Research and Development District RaDD) campus. Ask me for details.

Let me know if there is something specific you are looking for and I will try to find it for you, even if its not currently on the market. Enjoy your visit and please contact me if there is anything I can do to make your next home buying or home selling experience the best it can be!

The above list of the Top 10 San Diego Condos is in alphabetical order.

Below is my list (my personal ranking) of the top 10 San Diego condo buildings:

#1 Pacific Gate

Pacific Gate ranks at the top due to its status as the only true “Super Prime” condominium building on the West Coast. The architectural design and interior finishes are widely regarded as superior to any other residential high-rise in downtown San Diego. As the second-newest condo building in the area, it offers a level of luxury and exclusivity unmatched by its peers. Unique amenities include a private 50-foot yacht available for resident use, a fleet of three Mercedes vehicles, and a full-service back-office concierge capable of handling reservations, ticketing, and personalized requests in addition to traditional front desk staff services.

#2 Metropolitan

The Metropolitan occupies the top ten floors of the Omni Hotel and is directly connected to Petco Park via a private sky bridge. Every residence is a corner unit, offering enhanced privacy, natural light, and 10-foot ceilings throughout. Residents enjoy access to hotel-style services, including in-residence room service dining and optional housekeeping, combining luxury condominium living with five-star hospitality.

#3 Bayside

Bayside is downtown’s third-newest condominium building and was among the first to introduce white quartz countertops, setting a new standard for modern interiors at the time. The building is known for offering some of the most protected and enduring bay views in downtown San Diego.

#4 Pinnacle

Prior to the development of Pacific Gate, Pinnacle held the record for the most expensive floor plan in downtown, particularly in its highly coveted southwest corner residences. The building offers secure bay views and features one of the longest residential swimming pools in the downtown area. It is also the newest condominium building in the Marina District.

#5 Park Laurel

Park Laurel is distinguished by its exceptionally large residences, with floor plans beginning at approximately 2,625 square feet. Located at the entrance to the world-renowned Balboa Park, many units offer direct, unobstructed views into the park, creating a unique connection to one of San Diego’s most iconic landmarks.

#6 Meridian

The Meridian was downtown San Diego’s first residential high-rise and remains one of its most distinctive. Developed by a New York–based firm, the building features a design aesthetic reminiscent of classic luxury towers in New York City, appealing strongly to East Coast transplants. Each floor includes approximately three feet of separation in the ceilings between units, enhancing privacy and sound insulation. Historically, the Meridian has attracted some of downtown’s wealthiest residents and is also known for its large floor plans and expansive common-area amenities—the most of any downtown condominium building.

#7 The Grande

The Grande is another premier bayfront building offering expansive, protected bay views. It is especially known for one of the most desirable floor plans in downtown San Diego: residences located at the western point of each tower, featuring dramatic 180-degree views of the bay.

#8 Park Place

Park Place enjoys a prime southwest downtown location, directly across the street from Seaport Village. The building offers excellent bay views and benefits from immediate access to dining, shopping, and the Embarcadero.

#9 Renaissance

Renaissance offers exceptional convenience, situated directly across the street from The Campus at Horton and the Ralphs grocery store. The building is notable for its higher concentration of three-bedroom residences and for having some of the largest bedrooms found in downtown San Diego condominiums.

#10 The Mark

The Mark is located just two blocks North of Petco Park (the baseball stadium) , with many residences offering direct views into the stadium. The building features several oversized one-bedroom floor plans, many of which include two dedicated parking spaces.  The building does not have any tandem parking—an uncommon advantage downtown. Residences on the 20th floor and above benefit from 10-foot ceilings, further enhancing volume and livability.
